It's been five years since I've been in Savannah to visit my dear Nana and Papa and get away from the cold and mucky Midwest Spring and trade it in for warm, sunny, and seventy degree weather. But sometimes after a while of not experiencing something for so long, you think that you've built it up in your head to be greater. Let me tell you, Savannah did not disappoint, not one bit.
First off, the food was amazing everywhere we went. We ate out at restaurants; a few of which got appreciated long enough that we could take an insta-worthy food picture. Others were so amazing that I didn't even think to pull out my phone and snap a pic. And of course, we all grabbed some amazing rolled ice cream during our time shopping downtown.
Along with the amazing food, the views were great too. It was beautiful to see the old spanish moss hanging from the trees, and the exposed root systems near the water were mesmerizing.
Tybee Island was a great stop for beachy fun with the gals.
But of course, none of it would have been half as amazing had there not been my lovely family to enjoy it with. All-in-all, this was an amazing Spring Break, and I would highly recommend the lovely Savannah, Georgia for a great springtime vacation.
