Smartphones have changed the way we do things. How we shop, how we order food, and how we communicate with people. You've heard it. "There's an app for that." I wanted to share with you a few apps that I use all the time that either help me or a cause.
This app is just mint. Yep, it's called Mint (made by Intuit). Some of you might already be using it but I'm new to this game, so hear me out. I've found this budgeting app to be super helpful since I've moved into my apartment and am living on my own. It shows all of your finances in one place. You hook up your bank accounts, loan accounts, tell them about the properties you own (like a car or house) and it tells you how much you have in each account and shows you everything all together. It even gives you a free credit score. This app is totally free to use, and if you're trying to save money, you can set budgets and it'll warn you when you're getting close or go over to try to keep your spending in check. I've found that it's super helpful to just see what you spend in a month and then if you're not happy with where you're at, set a budget for the next month so you know where you can make some cuts. You can also set goals and it'll give you a plan on how to get there. Another great feature is Mint tells you when your bills are due so you don't have to log into a bunch of different accounts just to check the due date. It's got tons of great features, so if you haven't already, I recommend you go check it out.
Bonus tip: Since we're in the age of online shopping and Amazon has taken over, instead of logging into amazon.com log in to smile.amazon.com, select a charity, and a percentage of your spending goes to that charity when you check out.
I'd love to hear about the apps that you guys use everyday in the comments that either help the community or help you live your best life.
